Lip injections enhance and augment your appearance, making them look fuller and more voluminous. Perhaps you’ve had a less than excellent experience with lip injections from other med spas, at Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa we can explore the option of dissolving past hiccups, and correcting them. 

You can expect them to last four months to a year depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Lip injections are not permanent and can be dissolved if you decide you do not like them. Rest assured, before your treatment, you’ll meet with one of Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa’s registered nurses and discuss your desired outcome, so there are no surprises!

Before the Treatment

Make sure to talk about all of the vitamins, medications and supplements you’re currently taking with Colair’s registered nurse before undergoing your filler treatment. We recommend avoiding Alcohol, Aspirin, and Fish Oil supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment to lessen your chance of Bruising. Also, you may come with or without makeup, as the treatment area will be cleaned prior to injection. If you are prone to Cold sores, please let us know when you book your appointment so we can recommend a treatment to help prevent them!  

During the Procedure

Before your treatment, you’ll meet with one of Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa’s registered nurses and discuss your desired outcome in length, so there are no surprises. While most people could tolerate the treatment without, we do use a medical grade numbing cream as a local anesthetic to make your experience as pain-free as possible. We allow you to use a mirror during the process so we can collaborate together on where you would like to see more volume. After a couple of pinches, you’ll be on your way with beautiful, plump lips! The entire appointment only takes about 30 minutes. 

After the Procedure

Try not to touch the lips for 48 hours after you get injections, to let the filler settle and to avoid infection. Expect a chance of bruising, as the lips are a very delicate area and are prone to swelling and bruising. You will want to do your best to avoid intense workouts for two days after the treatment, as raising your core temperature can increase bruising. We also advise in the 14 days following treatment to avoid using a straw or making other similar movements with your lips, until the filler settles and integrates with your body’s own tissue. 

You will see increased volume and hydration right away, but some swelling might be present and it will take a few days for some of the slight swelling to go down. Wait the full 2 weeks after treatment for them to heal before making your final decision on whether or not you want more.
