What are Jawline Fillers?
Jawline fillers are quickly becoming a popular, non-surgical method to enhance jaw definition and give you a more balanced and confident appearance. Jawline and chin fillers can also help to eliminate the appearance of excess buildup of fat below the chin area and reduce the sagging appearance it causes. Adding injections to your jawline area will tighten and define this area, providing enhanced symmetry and improved contour. Chin injections may be added to provide better proportions in relation to your jaw or other facial features.
How Long Do Jaw and Chin Fillers Last?
Most Hyaluronic Acid Fillers last up to one year, however Radiesse may last longer. The longevity of results depend on a variety of factors – age and metabolism play a large role in how fillers activate in your skin and the effect it will bring. The type of injection used will also be significant in how long your jawline filler lasts. If you realize fillers for your jaw or chin just aren’t for you, rest assured you won’t have to live with them permanently. And if you realize you need a touch more, additional injections can be requested after the healing process of 2 weeks.
Jawline and Chin Injection Procedure
Before the Procedure
Make sure to talk about all of the vitamins, medications and supplements you’re currently taking with Colair’s registered nurse before undergoing your filler treatment, especially blood-thinning agents. We recommend avoiding caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, and fish oil supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment to lessen your chance of Bruising. Also, you may come with or without makeup, as the treatment area will be cleaned prior to injection. You will consult with one of Colair’s cosmetic medical providers in-depth about the jawline and chin contour look you desire.
After the Procedure
Some swelling is to be expected and may last multiple days, but you can return to your day as normal. You may treat the area with an ice pack and very light pressure if you experience any soreness. Hold off on exercise or any strenuous activity for the rest of the day, and avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or other activities that could cause irritation to the injection sites or risk infection. Avoid sleeping on the areas that were injected with Filler, as well as excessive touching of your face. Avoid Facials, Massage, Chiropractic, Dental work, or other treatments that apply pressure to the face for 14 days after your Filler treatment.
